Yo SDD!
Chick Norris here from the Little City Roller Girls, Johnson City, TN. I'll be moving your way in about a month. This will be my third season skating & I'm hoping to get rolling with a new derby fam down south.
I'm looking for a place to rent right now - so if anybody has any leads or tips - send em my way!

Yeah, I'm totally pumped about some good weather! Lotsa snow here right now. It's looking like I'll make it to your 3/6 bout with Chattanooga - I know a few of those girls. Should be fun!

If you're looking for a place to rent downtown, check with Dan Kaminksy. Here are two numbers where you can reach him: 912.232.1234/912.232.7941. He doesn't advertise, so you'd have to actually stumble across one of his places with it's for rent sign (he thinks not advertising keeps out the riff raff). I know the apartment downstairs from us is available, though to be frank, I wouldn't live in it even though it's really cool because it has a half-sized fridge and no dishwasher (and that's a deal killer for me.) Also no washer/drying hook ups. I would most definitely not recommend it if you're planning on living with another person/animal/goldfish/plant because it's small. He does have some others that are nicer. One other thing I will say about living in Savannah (and someone else correct me if you've had a different experience) be aware that if you live on the ground floor downtown, you may see cockroaches in the summer no matter how well you spray your place. If you do spray your place, they should at least be dead.

I've lived here http://www.gg1sav.com/ for several years now. The apartments are kinda small but you can't beat how responsible the landlord is or the location. It's right in the historic district downtown. I'm not sure but if you mention you know me you might get some sort of discount. Not positive on that though. In other news, yay for TN, I grew up in Nashville (Bellevue area).  |

Thanks for all the recommendations! I came in this past weekend and found a place that I'm very happy with! It was great to see you all play too! My moving day is 3/18 - so I'm hoping to skate with ya very soon!!!
